The Stone Source was founded in 1982 when Bob Foreman, Barney Burnette, and Bobby Demoney combined their experience to meet the demands of providing Granite and Marble to the homebuilding and design communities. They started with just a simple saw, some hand tools, and their individual experiences of selling marble, distributing ceramic tile, and installation of marble tile. For 9 years, they provided their services with the hopes of expanding their business. At a National Stone Show during the summer of 1994, they were advised by one of the most productive Granite fabrication shops in the Southeast that if they were really serious about Granite fabrication, they needed to increase the size of their facility, use the latest technology, and import the more popular Granites directly from overseas. A few months later, they took that advice and moved into a 10,000 square-foot building, purchased a new production saw, and added two new-edge profiling machines.

Today, The Stone Source has the most technologically advanced Granite fabrication shop in Mississippi with the capacity of producing about two kitchens a day.
